YMCA是什麼？Young Men's Christian Association(基督教青年會)是也，後來著名團體VILLAGE PEOPLE的一曲《YMCA》可謂世界知名，甚至於阿特蘭大大播特播，但現在不少人都主張，這是一首有關男同性戀的歌曲，更被譽為「同志國歌」！
YMCA這歌推出時，社會仍然不接受男同性戀，男同性戀不能公開自己的性取向；而他們找到滿足的地方，就是YMCA的健身室！當時同志在那裡「釣魚」已是公開的秘密，於是為了感謝YMCA給男同性戀者的「貢獻」，便寫了此曲，成為了GAY DISCO的恩物。
或許你會說這只是對歌詞的穿鑿附會，但VILLAGE PEOPLE有部份成員(一說所有成員)是同性戀，加上要求加入者必定要留鬍子(但印第安人沒有耶？)，而且每個人也穿著不同職業的衣服露出胸肌，也很難不聯想到同性戀XD(對於VILLAGE PEOPLE是GAY ICON已是公論，比較詳細和持平的，可看這裡)
