“Le Pain Grille” is toasted bread in French and so no wonder the bread at the Agnes b. Le Pain Grille is surprisingly good for a bistro in Hong Kong. In fact, besides the bread, the pumpkin soup, the mussel bowl, the crème brulee are flawless. That said, I have to declare that I am biased towards the mussels and crème brulee since trying the huge bowl of mussels and rich crème brulee at Chez Leon in my first trip to Paris, I have been craving for another date with mussels and crème brulee. Actually, I also knew very well that no matter how delicious the mussels and crème brulee at Le Pain Grille were, they could never be compared with my first Parisian mussels and crème brulee.
Memory has no fear for reality.
