Even I dislike Cheung Man Kwong, Lau Wai Hing ... etc., but in this case they are 100% right. Pls don't be fooled by this snaky Chow Yung who intended to divert public's attention to the matter of 'whether to have a degree' or even as ridiculous as to 'qualification discrimination.' These are not the centre of the matter here. People like Cheung Man Kwong were criticizing the HK Govt's hidden agenda in lowering the qualification threshold so as to allow themselve to appoint someone they love. i.e. HK Govt's open recruitment is an acting. Hence, the critic had never been meant to be on Chow Yung or anyone who does not have a degree; the critic was on HK Govt's act of cheating. As to Chow Yung's point of view, I have to say it was so wrong to describe an requirement of a certain qualification as discrimination. To become a pilot, you are required to have perfect eye sight, then can we say airlines discriminate short-sighted people? To become a policeman, one has to be at least 160cm tall, then can we say Govt discriminates short guys (I was both short and short-sighted.) I guess no lor... Chow Yung was just intending to trigger a confusion to disguise the dirty deal between HK Govt and him. Finally, the lack of qualification is not like skin colour, gender, physical disability or illness which we were born with. In HK, we are all open to equal opportunity to get as much/high qualification as we want, we can. If we are really 'discriminated' because of this, we should stop resenting and go pursue one. Just by his this behaviour, Chow Yung is not qualified for the post or anything... |
