A wall and a bridge

May I share with you a sad thing happened to me yesterday?

Actually, it was not just sad, because at a certain extent, I should call it shameful.

It happened at 8:15pm on 23/12/2008. 

It was about her, who wanted to ride together with me tonight but I declined her (and suggested riding with me this Sunday instead) since my schedule was extremely tight as I should be off at 7pm but I wanted to get my car within the shortest time from office to home (Kwai Chung) and then reach our church (Tokwawan) before 7:30pm for attending the Christmas eve service. 

Unimaginably, no matter how hard I try to explain my unpredicatable and tight schedule to her, she still insisted to come to me and said  ...... .................. ............................ ..........................................

Then, what's up?

I stopped her by asking her to take a taxi, a mini bus or else instead.  And further asked her if I didn't have a car, then what should she do?  Then, hanged up unhappily.

Afterwards, I felt so sorry and sad about this conversation as well as this ending, but I did not know how to respond much better.  That a wall was built in my heart.

24/12/2008, 8pm:

I saw her, her husband and son came by themselves, but I did not know what do say to her.  Thankfully, she came to me with her son leisurely and said: Auntie Foon, pre-happy birthday.  Besides, she admitted she collided with a wall (a stubborn Foon) yesterday night that she should know me well since we knew each other for almost 16 years.

Thank God!  With the help of a bridge (her babyboy), we 'reconciled' finally.

On this Christmas eve, I do want to share with you one more thing that:

once upon a time, there was also a wall between me and God, it's my sin, say my selfishness...

But a Bridge was established unconditionally since the incarnation and resurrection of Jesus Christ some 2008 years ago.  Therefore, here is the Christmas Day to remember Him and to praise Him.

That I really wish, there will be no wall between us but bridge/the wonderful Bridge in Him be with us.
