I took David for DBS interview last Saturday, after the interview:

Me: David, how did it go? Did you do well?

D: Great, the teacher said I've done very well and I am a smart boy.

Me: Wah, really? The teacher really said that?

D: No, I am just kidding you mammy, she did not say that.

Me: !!!!

-----

Me: So how did u really do then?

D: I think I did very well and answered all the questions correctly.

Me: How do you know you answered the questions correctly?

D: Because the teacher said that's good and gave me a sticker.

(I looked around, every kid has a sticker)

Me: Are u sure the sticker means good? You see everyone got a sticker here.

D: Well there is an Indian boy and he hasn't got a sticker.

Me: Really?

D: Yes and I did not cry either, there was one boy who cried and I did not cry mammy.

------

That is true, actually I have never thought about the possibility of him crying. Anyway, I think he has already done a good job la...at such a young age attended interviews with strangers ...I am already very proud of him.

Agree to all of you. I did a very wrong thing since I asked my boy what questions were asked and how did he answer them. When I found that he was wrong, I lost my temper and scouted him.

I realized that I was very wrong and the only thing that I could do was to apologize to my boy. Also promised him I will never do that again.

Don't be too hard on yourself, you are just care about him, after all he is your first and only son, we all make mistakes...parenting is a process of learning and making mistakes!

    His first interview.

There are going to be more interviews in his life, schools, jobs, this and that.  I know he's going to do just great in all of them.  He's a smart and special boy.

Yes, my girl went to 3 schools for interviews already.  Whenver she came out from the interview room, I would just say, " Hi darling, let's go" and "I am proud of you".  I tried not to ask her what happened in the interview room, because what is done, is done.

I can't help but asking...I want to know how he answer my questions to him..not that I really expect to remember it anyway, but most of time his answers to my questions are creative and funny.
