Karen did very well tonight at the City Hall, and the progamme was very nice and entertaining. Though it was mainly for children, nonetheless, I found it very touching and relaxing.
Karen did not look nervous at all, and she finished it beautifully and everyone praised her for her outstanding perfomance. Karen really likes music and I can see that, she puts a lot of effort on it. She just got a distinction in her Grade 6 piano and I was informed that she will be promoted to the Concert Choir(the highest level) in the Hong Kong Children's Choir, but she has only been there for 2 years.
I am hoping that she would be promoted to junior level in the APA next year so that she would be qualified to receive scholarships, as she is now still in the beginner's level, so she is not entitled to any sholarship offered by the institution.
By the way, Karen would pay for the APA lessons using her own savings for the coming semester and we will see what happen next year. I hope that the situation would improve by then so that she could continue her singing without interruption.
Here are some of the photos taken tonight.

Karen, the singer. You can still see her braces.

The singing outfit.

Karen and Natalie, Natalie will be singing for tomorrow night' show.

I did not go but my wife said it was ok. However, it was not quite suitable for my son at the age of 4 and therefore he was not quite excited about the show.

Congratulations! My wife and son attended the performance on the 6th and I saw Karen in the booklet. Karen is not only utilizing her talent but she also put efforts on practicing hard, that is how it makes a successful person.

Yes she has been working as MC for cable tv as well as ATV, so she has her own savings, but not much. Really G and I have 夫妻相? Wah, thank you, I have never heard that before.

Performance successfully may simply act as confirmation of the efforts from Karen, teacher (or performance guidian) and parents (practising monitor). Practice will be more productive if a parent is within hearing range. You are really a supportive and encouraging mother. Good job for Daleys !

It was tailor made at Prince Edward wedding shop, she is too big for children's and too small for adult's! Embarrassing age!
mausekopf 2008-12-06 00:58
it was my first time going to this show and i loved it - it was a nice change from the yearly ritual - the nutcracker. however, i did not expect the stories to be a bit melancholic though ... i suppose you can say they were 'bitter sweet' endings.
karen sang really well though. excellent!
Pretty Mum2008-12-06 01:05
Yes I agree, it was quite sad, I had tears in my eyes at one point.
