Hold fast to fait

"The testing of your faith produces perseverance." – James 1:3

Faith is severely challenged when you don't see answers to prayer that you hoped for. After pouring your heart out, pleading with God to save a loved one or yourself only to have a miracle fail to appear, it is common to face a faith crisis.

Why did God not hear my prayers? Why didn't he give me the miracle I prayed for? Was my faith not strong enough? Did I not pray enough? Does God love me less than those he graces with the miraculous stories I've heard? Are others favored by God and I am not?

What do you have to lose by holding fast to faith? Nothing. What do you have to lose when you give in to despair? Everything! Choose to plant a seed of faith and believe that it will bloom.

Where in your life do you need to hold fast to faith today? Come up with a list of things you gain by holding on to faith rather than giving in to despair.
