It's impossible for me to be a mayor in real life currently,but my conception can be realized in the simulate world...Now let me show you my city in the sim world
I was interest in city planning since I was a child,but what a pity I didn't choose it as my major in university for some reasons....Then I build a new city according to my own plan.It had limited fund at the begining of the game so few things I could do but merely to get more fund from tax and trades. When the city grown up big enough the tax will rise rapidly and more other requirements of the city were appearing,so if you have suffience fund you can build high way,airport ,college and golf-course or something like that. It took me serveral days in real life to achieve a financial surplus!! Now the city is put on a right path and developing so fast....Hope there will be some skyscrapers in my city soon!!!!

I like this serie of game so much,I had played the Simcity 3000 for 3 years when I was still in middle school....it's so fun!!!

u don't need to be a mayor to realize ur dream. in my college, there's a program called applied urban and rural planning. it's about planning. graduates of the diploma program (2 yrs) find work with planning organizations, such as planning consultancies, municipalities and regional districts. other graduates go on to further studies in planning or a related discipline at university. seems like 城市规划 in china. of course, ur plans or proposals have to be approved by mayors before going further. i checked the admission requirements. it's not too hard to get into this program. http://www.langara.bc.ca/programs/APPL.html
