Play That Again!

There’s a homeless man, not necessarily a street performer, who plays the Chinese fiddle right outside the train station every day. Normally I do not find that annoying but the problem is: he plays one and only one segment. Yes, he plays the same 1-minute segment over and over again, day in day out. Assuming that he plays a total of 8 hours per day, that would mean repeating the same segment for 480 times a day! Now multiply that by 365!

I mean, I understand the difficulty a homeless person faces, but if he wants to win my sympathy and eventually my donation, he should start playing a different tune! He has nothing else to do anyway so why not spend some time improving his musical talent?

I don’t know who is the victim here. Is it me walking pass him and hearing the same tune every day, or him playing the same tune every other minute?
