九月最後一個星期五，電腦組同事跟老闆報告，說新的電腦系統當晚可以完全架設好，原意是跟老闆報告，可以由接著的星期一進行正式的測試。可是，老闆突然下令，指示我們幾個同事，要當天晚上回公司，通宵做測試。 (這次測試，展開了我黑色十月的「非人」生活……)
子夜前回到公司，電腦組同事還在努力安裝系統，我只好把白天要做的日誌先做了。花了半小時把日誌完成，看到電腦組同事還沒說可以測試，於是只好沖網去了。
結果在日本的樂器店網站，看到這個外型別緻的錄音機 ZOOM H2，看看價錢算是便宜，終於忍不住下單訂購了一個。從下單到收到貨物，前後只花了四天，不得不佩服日本人的效率。
這個小傢伙，活像記錄片裡，廣播電台用的那種舊式咪高峰。功能和自己先前買的 ROLAND R09 不相伯仲，同樣可以做兩軌錄音、使用 SD 記憶卡，也可以選擇錄成 MP3 或 WAV 的音效檔。
聲音方面，可能兩個品牌使用的拾音器數量和效能不同。 ROLAND R09 只有兩個咪高峰，而 ZOOM H2 就有四個。但我個人認為， ROLAND R09 收音的效果要比 ZOOM H2 略勝一點點。而 ROLAND R09 也較 ZOOM H2 小巧。
不過， ZOOM H2 就較 ROLAND R09 便宜，兩者差價接近七、八百港元。而且 ZOOM H2設計上較 ROLAND R09 易用，隨機的配件也較多，例如隨機送上一個手柄，和「腳架」，而不必另購。
配上腳架的 ZOOM H2 看起來就像一枝直立的咪高峰，尤如一個「小矮人」。這個「小矮人」，由於前後都可以收音，似乎很適合幾個人合奏的時候使用。可惜近來沒機會和師兄弟姐妹們一起練習，不然就可以試一下，大家圍著這個「小矮人」來錄音，看看能否錄到「環迴」立體聲的效果！

As you said, H4 may be a little better in terms of the quality of sound recording compared with H2. But it is a few hundred dollars more than buying H2 . H4 contained more fancy equalizer functions and other instruments plug-in which may not be used for saxophone practising purposes.
After reading the review and your analysis and considering the purposes of usages, I think I may get H2 rather than H4. If I remember correct, H2 costs about HK$1,700 and H4 for HK$2,200.

Terrant, I didn't try the H4 before. According to the specs, H4 should be better than H2 or the Roland R09. H4 can record upto 4 tracks and it has built in equalizer. However, I personally don't like H4 'cos I am not looking for a semi-pro recorder. And H4 is the biggest in size of the three. All I need is a simple and small recording mechine for practice. Therefore, my own choices in order is R09, H2, my old MD recorder (still smaller than the H4), my iPod, my DC....oh, sorry, H4 is not on my list. Hehe.
As fas as I know, H4 is an older model and I think there're a lot of users out there.

How about the recording quality of H4 and H2? Do you know their specifications are similar? Last month I went to Tom Lee and they have H2 in stock but the sale recommended to wait for H4. What do you think?

Pizza, 要錄不到雜音，我怕這個要多花一點錢，例如配一枝更專業的咪高峰。這個小矮人，可以調校至收錄 90 度或 120 度範圍內的聲音。要完全排除雜音，只能靠控制收音水平了。
Terrant, I think H2 is an older model can record 4-tracks (I think that's why it called H4), while H2 is a newer and simplified model (2-track recording ability). I think TomLee is selling H4 around 2K, right?

I have checked Zoom H2, a sale in Tom Lee recommanded Zoom H4 which is better than H2 and suitable for recording instrument. But H4 is much expensive than H2 a bit.
