I hate taking the train at peak hours as this is what happens...![]()
Whenever the train pulls into Jurong East MRT Station, all the working adults, who are waiting behind the yellow line, will start to take a few steps forward until they are near to the door. When the door opens, they will rush into the train and grab a seat without letting passengers alight first.
I really don't know what is wrong with these people. Where have all their manners gone? I remember a few years back, people would wait until all the passengers had alighted first before going into the train to find seats.
I think the main problem lies with SMRT as the interval between each train is about 3 to 4 minutes for peak hours and 7 to 9 minutes for non-peak hours. This explains why people are getting more and more "kiasu" nowadays.
In Hong Kong, people rarely rush into the train as the interval between each train is 1 to 2 minutes for peak hours and 3 minutes for non-peak hours. I hope SMRT will increase the train frequency soon. ![]()
