To many of the Hong Kong and Macau people, Thailand is a familiar tourist haunt. But its attraction to me has been due mainly to its novelty as my visit there last week was the first I’ve ever had. The Thai gourmet cuisines, if not too spicy, were palatable. Shopping, too, was fun as well designed clothes, shoes and handbags were available everywhere at very reasonable prices. I'll discuss in my next blog post a few impressions of Thailand which I find particularly indelible.

I had to brave the glaring sun to take this picture of Thailand's biggest buddha statue.

A Catholic church on the side of the Mei Nam River on which we were having a boat ride.

The beautiful garden in the Riverside Hotel in Bangkok.

A temple in memory of King Chiang from China.

Young monks attending a lesson on a sunny afternoon.

The imperial palace where the royal family used to spend their vacation.

The beautiful Hua Hin Beach, where I simply enjoyed walking with bare feet on the very fine sand.

A beachside restaurant where we had dinner upon our arrival at Hua Hin.

The sight of the well decorated buses and colourful taxis made the traffic jam more tolerable.

On our final night at the hotel, we booked for their dinner buffet, which was at half price for hotel guest......

Thailand is always a favorite tourist destination to many people, because there are lots and lots of things to do, to see and to try!

I love Bangkok and Thailand.
Bangkok is a very dynamic city. It's ever changing. You could note the creativity of the Thai from the restaurant/ hotel/ cuisine/ product design.
I have been to Hau Hin once. I wonder whether we are talking about the same place.
Hey, your English is so good. Are you a nativespeaker? Or that you were brought up oversea?

Hi, Anna. From the last picture I've added to the list, you can probably decide whether it's the same place you're thinking of.
Thanks a lot for the kind compliment. My English is far from good as I'm only a humble English teacher in Macau.
