This dinner was a surprise for me! On 25th May event, I met a fans in Calgary. She mentioned that Chris would be the guest on 26th Edmonton fundraising dinner. All tickets were sold out quickly that she could not get a ticket. Fortunately, I checked email in time! Edmonton friends invited me (us) to attend.
The dinner started at 7:30pm, at Century Palace. To begin with, all people stood up for one minute to grieve for the deaths in China earthquake. It was shortly organized by Edmonton Chinese community. 50 tables were sold out in just 10 days. Chris sang '人間世外' . C43,100 was collected through auction and donation. All money went to World Vision China Earthquake Relief Fund.
As you can see Chris is working so hard for charity, buy a CD(s) to support your idol!
這個晚會給了我一個驚喜﹗在25日的分享晚會上﹐ 認識了居住在於卡加利的歌迷朋友﹐她提及Chris 將任26日愛華頓籌款晚宴的嘉賓﹐ 可是門票迅速售馨﹐ 她也買不到票。 幸運地﹐ 我及時Check 電郵﹗ 愛民頓的朋友邀請我(們) 出席。
晚上7﹕30左右﹐ 晚宴在龍廷大酒樓舉行。首先﹐ 全場人起站﹐ 為四川地震死難者默哀一分鐘。 華人社團在很短的日子內籌辦好這個晚會﹐在10日內賣出50席。 Chris 唱出‘人間世外’。透過拍賣和捐款﹐ 整晚共籌得加幣四萬三千一百元。 所有款項﹐ 全捐予世界宣明會中國地震賑災基金。

Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised to learn that Edmonton and Calgary's event is so different! Did Chris share much about the trip to Mongolia? He talked all 2 hours in Calgary. Poor him, didn't take much water the whole night.
