Great burg Nite

This one has been arranged for quite a while ago and thanks to C and others to suit my tight schedule ! Place was recommended by C and is Northern Chinese Cuisine which to our pleasant surprise, is very very delicious from start to end.

And again wines are carefully chosen by  C, Kudos to you for all the hard work. We just have to come and eat and drink and pay !!

00 Chablis, Blanchot, Raveneau - Showing lots of chalky mineral and le Mer , understated but well mannered, later on some sugar cane nose developed as well as some raisin.  In the mouth, good citrus fruit with some creaminess developed at the end. Wine is tightly knit, focused despite not a blockbuster. Fine! ***1/2

96 Latricieres Chambertin, Dom. Faiveley - Integrated nose with mineral driven plus some nice dark fruit and is quite fragrant indeed. In the mouth, slightly rustic but again focused and earthy.

96 Clos des Vougeot , J J Confuron - Nice red fruit upfront , full and round , rich fruitiness as is a typical CdV.

96 Clos de la Roche , Lechneaut - more barnyard, truffle and dominant plummy nose in the beginning which is quite riped and matured which later some nice fragrant strawberry fruit took over. In the mouth , it has loads of fresh red fruit to my surprise. Rich and poised.

Seems like we are have our specialties, CS is notorious for breaking glasses (well, he has improved tremendously), CL is famous for his wine consumption capacity, DC for his being late all the time and me ,of course I did took a cat nap during the course hahaha!

Good food, fine wine and exccellent company, what could be more enjoying! Really anticipate the next AR theme gathering!!
