Chinese national day

Today is the 59th anniversary of founding of China.
But I didn't go out to celebrate that.I stayed at home and read a English book in order to improve my English.
However,it's the national day of China though.Besides I'm a Chinese.I'll watch the live programme which will play the firework display tonight.

The Olympic Games took place in Beijing and Chinese astronauts successfully completed a space journey.
However,a acute earthquake took place in Szechwan.
