Have not been in Taipei for over 10 years, one of the most memorable things for me is the "Folk Song Restaurant", guess no more right now. This time K&E spent a long weekend in Jan, 07 to visit Taipei again. The most precious visit for us was the Taipei Story House which is organized and subsidized by a HK lady who moved to the city long time ago. We can deeply feel the sincerity and concerted effort of this lady and the volunteers to preserve this historic spot.  At the time we visited there, the theme of exihtibition was "Story of Traveling in Taipei". It's fantastic. The theme of exhibition varies every 3 month.

Of course we did not miss the famous night market.  Taipei's night markets are a true experience of modern Taiwanese life, a display of raucous colors and tastes back by interesting history.

When we watched TV at hotel, the most common term from Taiwanese we found was '喊冤". No matter they are the celebrity, suspected thief, politician or even hotel's frontdesk people. I think it is the result of people who faced a lot of pressure and challenges in this island,  but they cannot find a way out, just like its political & economic situation, it further stimulates the emotion of people  - everything is unfair and deserved sympathy.
