It is the 3rd time in a row that I post this route. It was aborted in the last 2 times. If for any reason, it is to be aborted again, we should consult a fung-shui master to find out if there is anything wrong with this route.
We
last did this route on 17 October 2008. We shall be able to enjoy
the scenic sea view along the coast from Wong Shek 黃石 to To Kwa Peng 土瓜坪.
The
route goes as follows: Wong Shek Pier -- along the coast to To Kwa Peng
-- MacLehose Trail Stage 2 -- Pak Tam Road at Pak Tam Au 北潭凹 -- Pak Tam
Country Trail -- Pak Tam Road at Tsak Yue Wu 鯽魚湖 near Lady MacLehose
Holiday Village. [Optional: If we finish early, we can consider doing
the one hour Pak Tam Chung Family Walk from Tsak Yue Wu to the Pak Tam
Chung Car Park.]
Meeting Time: 8:50 am (Bus No. 94 for Wong Shek Pier departs from Sai Kung Town at 9:00 am)
Meeting Point: Bus No. 94 terminus at Sai Kung Town
Hiking Time: about 3 hours
DON'T FORGET to bring plenty of water, sun and rain gear as well as mosquito repellents.
PLEASE CHECK THE WEATHER AT 7:30 AM ON FRIDAY. THE HIKE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CANCELLED IF THE THUNDERSTORM, AMBER RAIN, RED RAIN OR BLACK RAIN SIGNAL IS ON.
See you on Friday.Leo

It is perfectly okay to leave at Pak Tam Au. There is a bus stop where you can catch bus no. 94 to return to Sai Kung Town.

Dear Leo,
Many thanks for managing the blog for us all for so long. I hope to resume hiking asap but the days in September are disappointingly hot. If I join this Friday's hike, is it safe for me to chicken out at Pak Tam Au just in case I can't cope with the temperature?
