Foul weather barred us from doing this route last week. Weather forecast for the coming Friday is mainly fine with isolated showers. Let's retry this route on Friday.
Hok Tau and Lau Shui Heung are undeniably two of the most scenic reservoirs in Hong Kong. We shall walk round Hok Tau Reservoir and then climb about 100 m over a hill slope to get to Lau Shui Heung Reservoir.
Meeting Time: 8:50 am (Green mini-bus No. 52B to Hok Tau departs at 9:00 am.)
Meeting Point: Green mini-bus No. 52B terminus outside Fanling Railway Station. It is opposite the Exit for trains coming from Sheung Shiu. Those who come by train from Kowloon will have to go down to the ground level (platform for TST East trains) in order to go through this Exit.
Hiking Time: about 3.5 hours depending on how much time we shall spend enjoying the scenery and tranquility of the two reservoirs.
DON'T FORGET to bring plenty of water, sun and rain gear as well as mosquito repellents.
PLEASE CHECK THE WEATHER AT 7:30 AM ON FRIDAY. THE HIKE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CANCELLED IF THE THUNDERSTORM, AMBER RAIN, RED RAIN OR BLACK RAIN SIGNAL IS ON.

COMING ATTRACTION: Dolphin-spotting boat trip on 28th August 2009
So far, Christina (3), Clive (3), Jenny Hung (3), Barbara, Ruth, Canice and Jenny, Anson (3), SS, Hannah (4), Connie (2) have signed up for the trip. A rough estimate would be $100 each for the boat fare. If more people come, then the cost will be less.
The boat will pick us up and bring us back to the Public Pier 9 in Central (next to Star Ferry). We will likely start at 9 am and return at 5 pm. Lunch will be at Tai O.
The boat trip is still dependent on the weather condition. So please do return to this blog periodically to note updates. Belinda

Thanks Leo for the coordination. I think you and Clive are also coming for the hike on Friday. See you then.
For Belinda, my family members will not be able to join the boat trip. Please make amendment to the headcount. Thanks.
