May 8 -- Lamma Island

Dear all,

The weather should be fine for a half-day tour on Lamma Island this Friday.  We'll take a ferry from Central to Sok Kwu Wan and finish our walk at Yue Shue Wan where the ferry back to Central is relatively more frequent.  The route is as follows:

Sok Kwu Wan --> Mo Tat --> Yung Shue Ha --> Tung O --> Shan Tei Tong (if we can find the route up to the hill top, app. 300 m) --> Lo So Shing --> Hung Shing Yeh Beach -->Yung Shue Wan

Meeting Time: 0825

The ferry departs for Sok Kwu Wan 索罟灣 at 0835.  Another ferry leaves at 0830 for Yung Shue Wan.  Please make sure you get on the right ferry.

Expected hiking time: 4 hours

Most likely, we'll have lunch at Yung Shue Wan.   We can be rather flexible as when to get back to town.  Ferry schedule back to Central is as follows:

1300, 1430, 1515 (fast ferry, journey time 25 min)

1345 (regular ferry, journey time 40 min)

The hiking trail is rather exposed.  Please bring sufficient water and sun gear.  Shops should be around for refill of drinks and snacks in the latter half of the journey.
