Just finished reading 'The Devil wears Prada'.
I was expecting a happy ending/ opening to Andrea's life similar to the one in the movie... but, to some extend, I was quite disappointed in the quite open ending.
She didn't tell you about her love life with her boyfriend, whether she can rescue the dimming relationship or fall right into the arms of Christian (the rich and talent writer she met at work). There is no sign of Lily's rehabilitation... is she going to quite drinking or not? Is Andrea helping Lily out? There is a vague description regarding her change of jobs, which is only a freelance writer. Life ahead is full of questions.
However, it's this open ending that lures me to hold hundreds of imagination, about work, about life, about family, friends and love.
To me, it is all about your strong will of achieving your dream (for Andrea, to be a writer in New York Times). She didn't lose her direction throughout, but heading step by step towards her dream.
Seems like this is something I should be sought after.

I happened to lead a similar life to Andrea's (and sometimes' still).
Being really busy at times and even don't have time to eat and sleep just to manage through deadlines.
On event day available 24-7 and first thing you got home is sleep.
Sometimes it is not that you got complained by your dear ones. You really think that you're separately from the world.
Worst still, I didn't get compensated with high-end stuff. (pathetic~)
What did I do in the end? Same as Andrea.
