I am back!!

Thank you all for your regards and kind words. I am back!! I have missed you, too. I haven't forgotten about you at all. It's just that the past week has been a little hectic.

First, my computer has decided to throw a tantrum on me and stopped working. (I am using my outdated IBM thinkpad, which is very very very slow, so I only take it out from under my bed to use as a last resort.) That's why I have gone AWOL (absent without leave) for the last couple of days. (I have to take the computer to the shop for repairs. Damn it!! I have only had it for a year. Don't ever get an HP!!)

Then, I had to prepare for my Chemistry final. (Thank Goodness that's over.) Technically, I have graduated from college. But I still have to wait for my grades to be processed. After everything is cleared, my school will give me my diploma soon (i.e. in a couple of MONTHS). But I am not complaining much because, finally, I AM FREE!!!!

And I have gotten a reply from the Teaching Fellows program (the job I interviewed for a couple of weeks ago) saying that I have been wait-listed. Not the best news in the world, of course, but that means I am still in the game, which means now I have to really start looking for a job. Or not, since I haven't really gone on a vacation in so long...decisions decisions decisions....

Thank God all the studying is over for now. I have bought so many books but until now I barely had time to read any of them. On my bookshelfs, there is one collection after another of Classical Chinese masterpieces, such as 莊子, 論語, 孫子, 史記, etc. and modern and contemporary writings by 錢鍾書, 胡適, 董橋, 岑逸飛, 余光中, etc. And of course, many English books, too, though I tend to be more versatile in my taste of English writers.

But don't you worry! All this reading still leaves me enough time for blogging!! So, we will meet again. Very very soon!!
