Finally, the long-awaited holiday has arrived. I can finally take a break from the non-stop DNA/RNA leaf extractions. Was going to go watch a movie today, the 1408 horror film, story written by Stephen King. Yet the buses aren't running today so I'm back on campus in an Engin building using free internet.
There were the fireworks for Independence Day a few nights ago. Me and my housemate, we walked up the hill on campus to see the fireworks. It was so pretty - blue, red and white fireworks for the American flag colours, and lots of pretty gold sparkling ones too! Speaking of fireworks though, the one here is definitely not comparable with the one in HK for the 10th Anniversary celebration. I just saw a few clips on youtube and the magnitude is outstanding! It's like watching a huge explosion over the Victoria Harbour!
