We, Happy Animals, invites you to join us to urge our government to put more resources on animal affairs by sending your comments through email (budget@fstb.gov.hk) or other means to John Tsang.
Let’s build a better Hong Kong for both man and animals.
We welcome you not only to copy the below but also add your comments and send it to the government.
To : John Tsang, the Financial Secretary From : a Hong Kong citizen
Hong Kong should be a city that both man and animals can live happily together. However, heart-brokenly this is not the case at the moment. We are asking the government to put more resources on animal affairs in order to make Hong Kong a real home for both man and animals.
We demand you 1. To put more resources on the police force in order to establish a special anti animal cruelty unit. 2. To put more resources on Leisure and Cultural Services Dept in order to build more parks open for not only man but also animals. 3. To put more resources on Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Dept in order to a).implement “Trap/Neuter/Return Programme” (TNR Programme) by the government on different kinds of animal like cat, dog, cow, monkey…etc. b) to provide mandatory basic training to all staffs in the pet shop of Hong Kong. c) to regulate the animal breeding industry in Hong Kong by at least introducing a licensing system for all the animal breeders in the city.
