went for hotpot in cixi, they call it 豆佬.  and there was a story behind this restaurant.  it's been told that the owner of this restaurant lost all his money in Macau once.  so he decided to open a small restaurant in macau call "澳門豆佬" just hoping to make a living.  at the end, the restuarant turned out to be very successful.  now 澳門豆佬 are all over china.  don't know if this is true or not.

there isn't much to do in cixi except having yourself pampered 24/7.  after a day of facial and massage, we decided to have our hair done on the next day.  i got my hair extended for RMB1,000.  very good deal comparing to HK right?  do i look like a ghost?  well, it's not as long now, i had it shorten by like a foot!  was pretty happy with the outcome. 

believe it or not, the living standard in cixi is actually higher than shanghai.  there isn't much to do there.  but quality of life is not bad at all.   so if you want to get away and have some quiet time alone.  this is a good place to go.  because all you do there is eat and get pampered.
