History: Sabbath observance was officially replaced by Sunday observance by the Roman Catholic Church . In 365 AD the Roman Catholic Council of Laodicea wrote in one of its most famous canons,-"Christians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's day. (referring to Sunday) But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ." (Encyclopadiea Britanica 11th edition)
