The second day of the IDEA 2007

1. Keynote workshop- When Transformance( transformation+ performance) Meets BITAW ( Basic integrated theatre arts workshop) 17/7

On the second day, it was so exciting! We joined a kenote workshop in the Queen Elizabeth Stadium from 9am to 12pm.

It was so great! I've never join a workshop with 600 hundred people nor lying down on the floor of the QES.

Look! The woman in yellow dress is Manoela, she was near me!

The workshop was divided into three parts. The first part held by Manoela. She led us to dance about the life of farmers. Then, we created our own dance about the images of teachers in groups. We had so much fun.

Ah-B said Manoela is the girl friend/wife of Dan Baron Cohen. I dun know, but Manoela is really great! I felt that I can dance even better during the performance course. I felt free of my body. I am back to myself that I dance with the free me!

The singing part and making images about Solidarity in groups led by  Cloma were interesting, too. The last part we worked with a group in Hong Kong. The teapot story is touching.

2. The Special Interest Group Meetings

Drama/Theatre for Local Communities: Emancipation of the Human Heart

I shared my life map with the other members including Hing, Karpo, Circle and May. And also a lady from US and a man from Kanga!!!

We will make use of our life map and create a drama based on that in the coming three days.

This is my life map. So simple, sometimes naive...

3. Song, Dance, Drama - Storytelling from the Swedish Floklore Tradition

This workshop was so interesting that we experienced a Swedish folksaga " The boy who challedned the giant". Although i don't dun Sweden language, I tried to sing with the teachers. They were very nice and patient.

It is impressive the watchers in the story were also active. They needed to join in the story by actions and sounds, and sometimes, songs and dance! So beautiful drama we create!
