My beloved Dehonghi is dead

My faithful servant (Delonghi DSM5 stand mixer) has stopped working. My husband took the whole machine apart, found the broken part and fixed it. Still it quit on me soon after. Both times, I ended up hand kneading the dough. =(

This machine worked well until it broke and I have only used it for 2 years!!. I even bought a cover for it from Britain (Delonghi is called Kenwood outside of US). I found the service center and I will need to take it there for repair. I hope it won't take too long or too much money.

In the mean time, I borrowed my sister's KA professional 600. It's a much bigger and more powerful machine. Hopefully, I won't break it.

I am dreaming of buying a Hobart N50-60 but it's just too expensive (over US$1800) to justify the cost. I think I will need a job to earn my own money for it...

常溫可以放大約15天!
那是19日當天烤出來的
常溫可以放到至少9月4日
你放冷藏保存
就可以放更久
食用前放入已經預熱180度左右的烤爐中
微微烤到表皮酥鬆即可
稍冷卻即可食用
也就是說........
你收到後
就將它放進冷藏冰箱中
然後可以等到中秋節再拿出來烤來吃!
絕對沒問題!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately and I haven't updated my blog. I am glad you like the dinner rolls. They do taste good. My stand mixer is still broken but I got my sister's. Hopefully I will get to upload some pictures later when things are more settled.

Hobart Mixer後咪好大坐的???好勁啊! 有時 repair 都好貴架. KA 冇咁易 breakdown嘅, 掛????

Hobart has a 5 qt home mixer. But it still costs an arm and a leg!

KA is the my dreamed brand. It costs around S$600-700. I can't afford and i just bought a Kenwood Patissier. It is S$200 plus only.

Any happening recently ? Birthday ........ Asking for the "pre" present lah.
