有關愛情的英文，寫過十篇，講過明戀，暗戀，一見鐘情，錫嘴錫面，甚至法式濕吻都提到過；今次跟大家講的，是分手。

要分手時，通常說甚麼? 以下是我認為最常用的分手對白。

1. It isn't you. It's me.

不能照字直譯為「是我，不是你」，因為中文沒有這個說法。較準確的意譯是「你沒做錯；錯的是我」。

這是英語世界中典型的分手用語，大概是用來保住對方面子吧。舉個例：我和你分手，不是因為你無錢樣衰又爛滾，而是我不知不覺間變心了。錯的是我，不是你：It isn't you. It's me.

2. You deserve better (than this).

大概就是 You deserve better than a prick like me 的意思，中文裡對應的說法應該是：「我配你唔起」。

3. It's not working (out).

可解作「我地夾唔黎」，或意思更含糊的「我地都係唔得架啦」。亦可說：It's never gonna work out (between us)。

4. I don't think I'm ready for a serious relationship.

花心賤男常用語，表面意思：「我還未打算進入一段認真、長期和穩定的關係」；言外之意：「我只想同你玩玩，點知你咁認真」。

5. We have nothing in common.

正經人家用語，意思明白不過：「我們毫無共通之處：無共同話題，無共同興趣，總之就是唔夾」。相反句是：We have a lot in common.（我們有很多共同之處）。

唉，熱戀中的情侶，通常 have nothing in common but love（唯一的共通之處，是互相的愛慕）；激情過後，只剩下 nothing in common。

6. You never understand me.

「你從來不明白我」，死得。

7. I don't see a future between us.

「我們沒有將來」，多數是女生說的吧? 男生可能會說：You have no future with me.（你跟住我，無將來架。）

8. You cheated on me!

就是「你對我不忠」。留意 cheat 是出術，cheat on 是男女關係中的背叛。女的紅杏出墻，男的在外搞三搞四，都叫 cheating。

9. There's someone else.

也就是「我喜歡了別人」，灰爆。有人可能會想：總好過他/她 slept with someone else。

10. We're better off as friends.

「我們還是做回朋友好」，絕交的 alternative，這是權宜之計，免得對方受過度剌激。亦可說：We can still be friends.（我們仍可做朋友啊）。
