The Starry Night

I think that the World was so cruel to him, treating him unfairly that finally killed him.

Struggling from place to place in Europe, he created a lot of great paints during his life. The amount he received from the sale of his paintings was so little that he needed to reply on his relative to lead a hard life. Even so, he kept on painting the beautiful objects, skylines and landscapes that he met. Being so miseranble and lonely, his worries about his life and living grew and grew. Without enough amount to hire model, he started to paint portrait of himself, not knowing whether he would have enough to live the next day.

From time to time, frustration and depression could come suddenly, taking away all the joy and peace. He finally become insane and illusions often appeared, disturbing his painting work. One day, he cut one of his ears to show the others how painful he was in enduring his insanity. He soon lost the initiation to paint and even to live.

On 27 July 1890, Vincent Van Gogh was aged at 37 and he killed himself.

Since after, his paintings were trading at a high price among the collectors, the riches and the investors. He brought to the World a number of masterpieces, inspiring and guiding his followers and the latecomers of the Expressionism. He deserved to be prided and rewarded all the credits.

Sometimes when I saw a beautiful scene in the nature, I imagined that it was one of his work of art and said "Thanks, Vincent. That's a wonderful piece.".
