The Weekend Premenition

Do you believe in fate or are life events all random variables weave one to another by coincidence?

I walked around central on completing my Saturday ritual. There was nothing unusual about it except in the midst of things, an image of Doctor Zhivago suddenly came to mind as if someone imprinted his face on my mind.

It was spooky and I began to wonder if my path was about to cross his again.

I was right. I did run into him but he wasn’t alone. He was walking with a girl almost as tall as him and almost as glamorous as a model. Of course, she was wearing these long boots in 20 degrees. They weren't holding hands but she was clearly dressed up like it was a date.

I didn't want to show myself but he already saw me. He happily came over and asked me why he hadn't seen me around. I said to him that we always have different schedule. He then asked me if I was on my way to the gym I didn’t talk much before I told him that I should hold him up no more and I should run.

I guess I was a bit jealous and a bit angry. I’ve always thought there was something unexplainable and predestinated about us (having said that I kind of feel the same about every man I like).

Anyway, in order to release my frustration I bought myself a pair of high heel boots that will make me 5’9 instantly.
