Four Wedding and a Funeral....Irony in the making?

A 1994 Romantic comedy movie starting Huge Grant and a young Andi MacDowell...



No, this blog is not about that movie.  Actually I don't ever watch this movie despite good review I heard about this movie and the young beautiful Andie MacDowell (But her other movie "Groundhog Day" is one of my favor...).

What inspire me about from this title is what has been happening with me... The First Wedding, my cousin's wedding last year somehow made me only able to spend a short night with her.  It was my cousin's wedding made me unwilling to visit the west coast twice.  I could have flow over in the July 4th weekend, or just any other weekend to spend more time with her.  But my cousin just happen to have her wedding around the same time, and I am not WILLING to fly across the country twice, visited LA twice in the same year...

The Second Wedding, my nephew's wedding the coming Saturday, the 26th.  Out of 365 days in a year, somehow in some way, he has to pick that day...a day I would rather be in LA, a day after the 25th (the day with very low airfare to anywhere because everyone want to be with their family on Christmas Day).  Therefore even though I am going to have the whole final week of the year off, I am not going to join her....because the airfare is going to be very expensive any day after the 26th, and I am not willing to spend at least 500 dollars just for the airfare...

IRONY in the making? Movie plot? I still have two more weddings and that something else to complete the story.  And of course if I am Willing, if I am willing to spend the money, then there is no story at all.  So again it is not about TIMING, it is about WILLINGNESS...someone willing to spend $3000+ to make the trip, but I am just not willing to spend $800 for that...(however, if throw in a marathon race, I am definitely willing to fly over even it cost $800+...but too bad the LA marathon is held on March...maybe the timing just not right after all...)
