1. Castelli di DOC Classico 2007, Castelli di Jesi ** and a half

Grape variety: 100% Verdicchio

100% Steel tank fermentation. Dry, medium bodied, not a firm structure, with a bitter, olive seed like aftertaste. Nice food wine of a nice price.

Food matching: Chinese style steamed fish.

2. Casal di Serra Vecchie Vigne DOC Classico Superiore 2005, Castelli di Jesi ** and a half-***

Grape variety: 100% Verdicchio

The director told me the wine was not in good condition, so I had better dont give a TN, haha!!

3. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2007, Montepulciano D'Abruzzo **

Grape variety: 90% Montepulciano, 10% Sangiovese

Plum and unriped cherry in aroma. A everyday wine.

Food matching: Salami, air dried meat.

4. Pelago Marche Rosso IGT 2005, Montepulciano D'Abruzzo **and a half to ***

Grape variety: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Montepulciano, 10% Merlot

Medium + intensity aroma of coffee, pepper and oak. Full bodied, harmony structure, medium + tannis level, medium level intensity of cherry and tobacco. Overal not bad.

Food matching: Roast lamb leg with herb.

5. Jorio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2006, Montepulciano D'Abruzzo ***

Grape variety: 100% Montepulciano

Fruity, rich texture, soft tannis, typical Montelpuciano, recommand!
