Sorry for this dish, because I should have used higher ISO for it. The beans underneath do not show very well, but I think the piglet chops are still okay. The pork chops of course were fantastic---juicy and tender, what surprised me was the beans under the pork. It did not look very appetising at all seeing the colour of the beans, but after a bite or two I was totally astonished by the taste and texture. They served this dish in the pan directly from the kitchen on a big piece of wood(like cutting board), and I thought it was unique.

Day 2 evening photographs were missing for a while but found finally. Thanks to Chowhound Quebecor locals we found our way to this resto on du Sault au Matelot and I could finally tasted some pan seared duck leg and breast. Bravo!

This one focuses on the duck leg. The dish was excellent and it was accomplished very well. I had to rely on two candles to capture all these pictures so some details have been lost. I long for a F1.8 lense now. I ordered this dish because this was also one of their signature dishes, on top of I like duck meat.

Ravioli in lobster bisque.

You like this shot or the one above? Soemtimes I do not know how to frame the dish due to the irregular shape of the plates.

I should have gone for the pan seared foie gra by paying $10 more, because I am not too much into processed foie gras like this one. Even though it was still very good, but I do prefer a fresh hot seared one for my taste buds. This was, however, one of their signature dishes. It was all good but I just do not like room temperature foie gras like liver pate.

Three types of bread came out in an aluminium basket with sea salt in a test tube for adding taste. The bread was excellent and we finsihed all these and they brought another bucket for us.

This was sort of like fried won ton for Chinese, except it was not greasy when done the French way.

A rather light French Dim Sum for us to start the dinner with.

Well, I have shown the hotel where Toast is located in during the day, and this one shows the night scene of the same building. I took this after our gourmet meal. Thanks, Quebec City!

Two Persons@Foreign Land:
Welcome back! I was wondering where you were. I am about to wrap up Quebec City in a few days with a few more posts, one each day. Ottawa will be our next excursion city on Thanksgiving long weekend.
