This is really the master bedroom because it belonged to Sir Pellatt, the master of the castle.

All the ceilings are beautifully crafted with details.

Sir Pellatt actually did not live a luxury lifestyle, because for a castle this size his room was considered quite small. Pay attention to the little retangular space in the wooden wall on the right hand side though---it was for the telephone.

I am sure 100 years ago when those trees were not out there blocking the view from Sir Pellatt's bedroom he could have a very nice view of the Toronto down town core on a nice day. This bay window area was his work station in his bedroom.

The only lavish thing I see in the castle for Sir Pellatt are the pieces in his private toilet. A hugh medicine cabinet above a hugh washing sink and right next to them is the washing basin for his behind of course. I am not sure if they had toilet paper yet back then at the turn of the last century. The whole bathroom was built by using marble stones as you cna see in these pictures.

A toilet bowl in a secluded area in his bathroom.

A full size bath tub if he preferred a dip in bubble bath to relax after a long hard working day.

This shower stall is just amazing even in today's standard, because first of all there was hot and cold water adjustment for the faucet above and the surrounding jets. Secondly, the instant hot water available was such a luxury at that time and only the rich could afford such anemities.

Lady Pellatt's room was nothing fancy either with a fireplace to boost heating in the winter time I suppose.

A harpsicord in her living room.

Lady Pellat spent most of her time in this living room of hers having high tea, playing music, and knitting. I shall move to the gorgeous exterior of the castle next time, stay tuned.
