Year 1-God's arrangement was really perfect

Like other uni students, after getting an offer from the university, I needed to arrange for my accommodation. My friends who were studing at the same uni with me had applied to stay in the Hall. I didn't like staying in the Hall since the accommodation fee was more expensive. However due to the unpleasant experience in Year 12, I didn't want to live with a person that I knew nothing about her. Therefore although many schoolmates were looking for flatmates, I had never considered to contact them and went to their house to have a look. When I was planning where to stay, my cousin from US came to HK for holiday. She told me that her husband's sister was living in Melbourne , while his sister's friend had a house which was near my uni, maybe I could contact her. After going back to Melbourne , I contacted his sister's friend and rent her place. Her family was living at the front part of the house and rent the rear part for me. I had my own kitchen and bathroom. However I could come to the front part of the house to find them if necessary, or just came to the front part of the house to chat with them if I felt boring. I would like to express my gratefulness to them, they really helped me a lot during these days. Thank You God for arranged such a perfect accommodation for me.

At first I wondered whether it would be difficult for me to make new friends in the university. Luckily I met 3 nice girls who were studying Bachelor of Science as well on the first day of the orientation week. One of them was come from Indonesia. I still remember that she told me that she wanted to study a PhD on genetics in US. However I lost contact with her after leaving Australia, therefore don't know whether she has already obtained her PhD or not. She was studying very hard in the university, every day after finishing the lectures and practical class, she would go to the library to study, then went to student union to have dinner. After dinner, she kept studying in the library until the library closed.

Another unforgettable person that I met in this year was Professor Ron Dickson. He was teaching me Inorganic Chemistry. At first I didn't choose his class since his class started at 8am, I chose the one started at 9am. However my classmate told me that he was a good professor, therefore I changed to his stream.

One of the subjects that I had chosen to study was biology. Every week before the practical class, we would have a mini quiz and the contents of the quiz was what the professors going to teach on the following week. ie need to study the contents that we totally didn't understand !
