近來於報紙睇到多宗自殺新聞，不期然會錯愕，為何可以忍受，可以接受自殺時所見到既景象，又或是向著迎面衝來之列車，鼓起勇氣往前衝。既然有勇氣面對死亡，為何未能面對挫折？

請張開雙眼去觀望，在世界上有很多落後國家的兒童，在母體受到病毒感染，當出生時已經要面對死亡。因戰亂而孤獨生存，不單是食物，甚至乎連潔淨的食水亦沒有。他們甚至為得到一粒栗米，在大象的糞便中找尋作為食糧。

栗米，潔淨食水這等極普通的食物，對我們來說可謂隨手黏來，但對他們卻是求生之物。

對於生命有人可以棄之如垃圾，有人必須艱苦面對。

新一年來臨，只盼望世界上可以有更多兒童得到溫飽，關懷。
