Just had dinner at my brother’s home for 冬至 celebration……he told us his newly hired secretary is really annoying, here was one example….
He asked her to prepare a memo inviting all staff to Christmas Lunch on the 24th. When he signed the memo he changed his mind
and wanted to postpone the lunch to 31st as many colleagues will be on holiday
next week.
As it was just a simple change so he asked her to send it out on his behalf after the amendment………..
Do you know what she did, she just changed the DATE and nothing else, the memo still mentioning the lunch is for CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION ah……

1) postpone the X'mas lunch from Dec.24 to Dec.31. I think it is still acceptable?Or you think New year eve lunch is more appropriate????
2) She followed her boss's instruction--------postpone the date only. Lunch is still a lunch?not dinner??? The name is different????
Of course, she should ask her boss regarding the name( has to changed or not ). If she changed the name to New Year Eve lunch, her boss might not like it???(Cause she didn't ask for advice )
Hehehe, I always put " client centre " first. I remember I talked to the Govet. Social worker recently ( she made me upset and she tried to turn around to please me). She said ----You need to understand the reason before you criticize someone
