I finally had a taste of Cafe 74 waffle. We paid a visit there yesterday afternoon. Cafe 74 in Cheong-dam Dong (청담동) boasts for her waffles and interior design. My tongue told me the waffle was good especially the sour yogurt that came with it and the fresh cream. Yet it can't top the chart. At least, it can't win over Teastory waffles. Still, need a bit more effort to excel her competitors. As for design, if my eyes haven't deceived me, it's one of its kind, elegant and cozy. If there hadn't been too many tables, it would have been more appealing. Such a cafe should provide greater space for patrons. If not, how can she charge 12000 won for a cup of coffee and 20000 won for waffles?
Do I recommend a try of the waffles there? Definitely! Why not? Though not number one, the taste's better enough for a nice afternoon tea. When sitting inside the cafe, you really feel that you're an honorable guest. The waiters and waitresses make you feel like home. They provide good services, yet, they never annoy you with their presence. Privacy is well respected. The only complaint is the price. Rather expensive for the jobless. But to those who don't have to worry about money, give youself a big treat there. Cheong-dam Dong cafes are worth hopping.
There're a lot other nice cafes nearby as well. If you love coffee and cakes, Cheong-dam Dong's never a wrong place to go. But when you go, be sure to bring a wallet with a few more notes or a credit card. Oh! One more thing, go with someone who would appreciate that kind of cafes and most important of all, they don't mind paying 12000 won for a mocha or a cappuccino or a green tea latte or a Chamomile or an Earl Grey. Also, be ready that some may ask you for a few more thousand wons for a cup.

My brother and sister-in-law will be flying over tomorrow morning. Then, we'll be touring round together. Actually we're going to Gyeong-ju and Busan tomorrow right after they arrive. Hope that the maples down there have changed clothes. I like them wearing RED. Will they do so? Also, I'm looking forward to good food and good weather. (Heard that it'll be raining tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. After the rain, the temperature will drop to ZERO. Wow! My heart's a bit heavy now!)

How I wish I could fly back to Seoul and watch more movies and eat more waffles. Guess you've to do them all for me.
First, try the Tea Story waffles in 삼청동. They're really good. Also, try the 삼청동 수제비. It's opposite Tea Story. During lunch and dinner time, you can see long lines of people waiting outside for a taste of 수제비.
Second, if you like walking, find a time to walk across 한강 through 광나루 보행교/광진교 걷고싶 다리 (same bridge but different names). To do so, take Line 5 and get off at 광나루. Get out at Exit 2 and then cross the road to the opposite side. Walk to your left for one minute and turn right. Then you can see the bridge in front of you. On a clear day, walking across the bridge gives you superb view of Han River and the scenery on both sides.
Of course, there're many other things we can do in Seoul. Try to discover them yourselves. Enjoy your holiday.

How come you can have so many holidays? Had I known that you would come, I would have stayed longer. When will you be flying there and for how long?
