The National Day

Today is the 60^th China National Day and it is a public holiday.

I decided to stay home and have some good rest.  Yet, I woke up early for watching the parade broadcasted by T.V.  When I saw the troop, navy and air force marching by the Tiananmen Square , I felt touched.  The parade was very magnificent, there was a sensational feeling thundering strongly in my heart.

When I heard the national anthem and savored the lyrics, I could not help from weeping.  China is a big and ancient country with more than 5000 years history, however she was invaded by八國聯軍 in 1900 and eventually was forced to sign the 辛丑條約.  It was a such a big shame to the Ching Dynasty government and all Chinese.

Since the People's Republic of China established, 60 years has passed by and today China is a strong developing country and plays an important role in the international political and economic stages.  I sincerely hope that the mainlanders will receive more education and tread towards the road to real democracy and real liberty.

China, China, Happy Birthday!  Hope you may continue to prosper and to thrive!
