2009年1月1日 新年快樂

On this New Year Eve, I had nothing special to do. Just had a dinner gathering at one of the Chineses' home.

Every one should make and bring a dish. Because I was sick and slept the whole day, I just bought a king cake!

The dinner was very great! All the dishes were delicious. And I am so happy that two perons made steamed fishes. STEAMED FISHES!!!! I love steam fishes, but I dont have a great pot to steam fish here. It was my first time eating my beloved steamed fish in Portugal!!!!! So good!

After the dinner, we played the game "killer" using poker till 11:30pm. Then we walked to the canal to see the firework.

As I was not in Aveiro for most of the December, it was my first time seeing the Christmas lighting here.


When we arrived the canal, there were already crowds of ppl.
















The firework lasted for 15 mins after midnight. Though there were many ppl, it was strange that there was no countdown. If not watching my watch, I didn't even realise that we stepped into 2009 already.

Back to our dinner.

The baby belongs to the host. Zhang said he is a good baby sitter....


The house is big. We had 10 ppl for dinner together. The meal was so great, it was like a Lunar Chinese New Year Eve's dinner (年夜飯).




The King cake I bought. It is a traditional food for Portuguese for Christmas and New Year.
