My day started with a lovely joke this morning. It was originally a storyboard for a police and gangster film, but Ines and I made it into a comedy with our imagination. It made our morning filled with laughters. Hahahah!
After breakfast, I rushed to the train station, getting the train to Comibra. The weather was so good that deserved me to spare a short day trip for an afternoon.
The city of Coimbra is in betwen Aveiro and Fatima, about 50 km from Aveiro. The regional slow train took nearly an hour to arrive there.
The city is really amazing, very beautiful. There is actually one thing in my mind that makes me come. See the below pics and you will understand.

Believe it or not. It is a university.
It is the University of Coimbra, the oldest university in Portugal, and one of the oldest in Europe. The university was founded in 1290 by King Dinis in Lisbon. However, in 1308, because of the conflicts between the teachers and
students, and the church in the city, the university moved to Coimbra
since then.

Before I came, I really could not imagine it is such a beautiful university and awesome place. I have been to several famous universities in the world, including Harvard and Cambridge, and some other in Europe and Asia. But U of Comibra is just different. I dont know how to tell. It is very European, gives u a nostalgic feeling, plus a romantic sensation.
Spending an afternoon there is really bravo. It makes me understood why I should love my field of study (higher education).
After coming here, I should make myself fall in love with university and the study of higher education. hahahaha!
