A few more days left................
With the rehearsal of my leave of the country coming, I really feel a bit sad. The thought of "I m going to miss Portugal" keep going in my mind these days. Especially, after I have made some good friends here in these few months.
I think I really have become loving the country! Yes, I should be. It is a place I will have spent one academic year, and been living so happily.
I chose to stay in Portugal among the 3 country choices because of a promise, a never fulfiled promise. But, i guess I did make a right choice. The sun and good weather here already pay the tribute for my choice.
I dont know why, but just feel I will miss the sun and beach here. And of course the people here too........
Dont know how and what to say. This semester, with the new Erasmus students arrived, I really feel that I am an "old" person here. I can tell them where to get and buy things they want, when to hang out and eat, and even organize activities and dinners for them, such as the hiking today. I feel like I am also playing a role in promoting the city and the country to people.
Also, I am so happy that since this semester, I have got known to some good new friends and new students. They made me feel I belong to here, to the unversity and to the student community. They are so nice people, and good companions to hang out with. I feel I am so blessed with all these things and people.
Since I arrived at the country, I really did not have much intention to learn the language. But then after the first Portuguese class this week, I was enlightened by my classmates, who are so eager to pick up the language, and every one is trying to teach me. Even Chung Xua, who just has learn it one semester, tried to teach me how to read the Portuguese newspaper last time. And when my Portugese classmates know that I will skip the classes in the coming weeks, they are so nice to say that they will teach me all the things when I come back. And of course, I have two private tutors at home, Ines and Manuela (who is a real qualified Portuguese and French teacher). I guess I really have no excuse not to learn the language well.
But glad that I will still have 2 and a half more months here. I should go and dig out more of the country. So I can tell people how is Portugal when I go back home.

. I really feel that I am missing it !
So I now have the thought of starting to collect my memories here in the country. I will get started by writing some things about Aveiro. I have already got several topics in mind. Just hope have time to write them out.
