The past couple weeks has been super busy. All started with my gf's neighbor selling their house, and that kicked start the idea of buying their house through private sale. We did our preparation to make sure we can afford it and get financing.
At first we thought private sale may be a good idea since there's no real estate agent commission involve, the price should be lower. But those greedy neighbors want to sell their home privately at the price as if included the commission. So after a week of going back and forth we've decided not to go ahead with their heavily overpriced home.
On the bright side, we found out what we can afford after getting the pre-approval from the bank. So who knows, maybe lightning could strike anytime and the right house appear on the market for us.
