Setup TV Capture Card on Ubuntu

In order to broadcast two video signal at the same time, I'd installed two TV capture card on the system that running Ubuntu 9.04. But I found trouble to make the second card to work properly.

* The TV Card that I select was MSI TV@nywhere Plus (use saa7134 chipset ) bcoz it cost only $95

Ubuntu already detected two video devices /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 existed in the system, and I'd already setup a module config file saa7134.conf at /etc/modprobe.d

alias char-major-81-0 saa7134
alias char-major-81-1 saa7134
options saa7134 card=17

I'd search through many many forums and help files, but seems nobody will setup two identical TV Card on the same system

Finally I got the answer from Video for Linux Two API Specification http://v4l2spec.bytesex.org/spec/c174.htm

And modified the config file as below

alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 saa7134 #device major num 81(fixed) and minor num 0, driver saa7134
alias char-major-81-1 saa7134 #device major num 81(fixed) and minor num 1, driver saa7134
options saa7134 card=17,17 #first card type=17, second card type=17

Finally it works, both TV capture card works

Final outcome, mosaic two video and streaming to the network
