Mont-St-Michel (1)

This is a place i've longed for visiting...although it took time to go (total around 5-6 hours back & forth), but i still find it worth to go... at least for once!!

Mont-St-Michel is surrounded by sea, linked to the mainland by a long narrow causeway, is only accessible when the tides fall.

We went up to visit the abbey at the top of the island

At the top of the island - overlooking the surrounding below: 

the causeway linking the island with the mainland, where we came from

the land surrounding the island, will be flooded by the tides which rise around sunset everyday
