I thought my chinese has improved a lot ever since I came here (how ironic?!?!).

Thanks to the copious of variety shows I watched on youtube (best thing on earth)... and the Cantonese-speaking population here (it's amusing how people just assume all Chinese- even Vietnamese- speak Cantonese).

Until I spoke to my brother, " Sis, have you not conversed in Mandarin for a long time? You sound weird." Arghhhhh!!!

And then I remembered what mum said,

"比上不足，比下有余。”

At least, I'm making some progress.
