'' Today, I will tell you a folk tale based on an old saying ----Never Ride a Tiger,'' Mr.Lim said to his class.

Never Ride a Tiger

    Long time ago in China, There lived a foolish愚蠢的 man. He was big and strong and liked to walk in the forest.

    '' Don't go there,'' people warned him.'' It's dangerous. There are tigers there.''

    The foolish man said,'' I don't care! I'm so big and strong.  Even tigers will be afraid of me.'' Everyone laughed at his foolishness.

    One day, however, he met a very fierce tiger. The foolish man look at its big, sharp鋒利的 teeth and long, fierce兇猛的 claws爪, and he knew that he was in great danger. He ran out of the forest as fast as he could.

    The foolish man soon get tired. He puffed喘不過氣 and panted氣喘. The tiger was close behind him. The foolish man saw a tree and climbed up the tree.

    The tiger prowled四處覓食 around the tree and growled 咆哮with hunger.'' I will wait for that foolish man to get tired and fall,'' it thought.

    The foolish man soon felt tired. He did not have the strength力 to hold on to the tree. He fell down right onto the tiger's back.

    The foolish man trembled發抖 with fear as he clung on to the tiger. He knew that if he fell off the tiger, it would surely eat him. He warpped彎曲 his legs and arms tightly緊緊地 around the tiger. The tiger could not shake震 off the man. Peeople gathered聚集 to watch as the tiger ran past.

    ''What a brave man!'' they exclaimed呼喊.

    ''Help!Help! '' shouted the man.'' I am not realy brave. Help me down, please!'' he pleaded承認, However, nobody heard him. The tiger roared吼叫 with excitement激動 as it carried the foolish man away. It was pride that caused the man's down fall.
