It is nice to not be constantly reading lecture materials and heavy textbooks for a change!
This selection of books was bought months/years ago and left unread as I didn't have the time while doing my course. Now that I've graduated, I'm trying to get through them faster by starting on several at a time.
危險人物 by 翁靜晶
Just finished this one. It's about true crime stories mostly in HK but also includes a few from other countries. The first story was not very exciting but subsequent ones got progressively better. Think it was made into a TV series of the same name a few years ago.
About a Boy by Nick Hornby
Started on this more than half a year ago but left it off when semester started. Now picking up again. It was made into a movie starring Hugh Grant but I didn't watch it. About a 36-year-old man who's lived his life so far with little commitment and responsibility, a 12-year-old boy mature beyond his age and his hippy mother. The book has been quite a good read so far.
Nana - novel from the movie - by 下川香苗 (Kanae Shimokawa)
Just started a little on it. Saw the movie some time ago. I like reading books 'novelised' from the movies or TV dramas that I like.
Helter Skelter by Kaori Kawamura
Kaori's autobiography. Started on it long time ago but certain parts a bit difficult for me. It's a good book to bring on travels cos of its neat pocket book size.
